Protect Yourself and Your Loved Ones
Take a few simple steps to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke in your environment.

  1. Post “Thank you for not smoking” signs in your home, office and car.
  2. Let your family, friends and colleagues know that you prefer them not to smoke near you or your loved ones.
  3. Keep your home and car smoke-free by asking smokers to light up outside.
  4. When other adults are entrusted with your children’s care, ask them to protect them from secondhand smoke.
  5. If you smoke, get help to quit. In the meantime, avoid smoking in areas where others risk exposure to your secondhand smoke.
